Empowering Mornings: Sharing My Current Morning Routine

Hi, Friends! I hope that you’re having a fabulous day! I penned a blog post recently on How to Create Mindful Morning Routines for Business Success. I’m back because I wanted to share my daily rituals with you! I wear quite a few hats. I’m a parent, an academic philosopher, an NGO co-founder, and an entrepreneur. It’s super important to me that I start my day off right so that I can be productive without feeling overwhelmed. 

My morning routine on weekdays currently looks like this: 

5:00 AM  

Wake up! Lay in bed for a few minutes. Grab my journal and write down my dreams from the night before. 

5:15 AM

Meditate & pray for 15 minutes. 

5:30 AM 

If it’s Tuesday or Thursday, I’ll workout for 15-30 minutes. I’m currently doing Jacy Cunningham’s workouts on Alo Moves. I am always excited to get started because I’m so entertained by his humor and enthusiasm. 

6:00 AM 

Make up my bed. Get the kids up. Start making breakfast & packing lunches for school. I usually love to turn the music on at this point. I don’t know about you but a good playlist gets me energized and ready to start my day. It also just sets the tone for my entire day. If I'm looking to infuse some energy and excitement into my routine, I'll queue up Beyoncé or some trap music. However, when I'm seeking a soothing backdrop that helps me seamlessly navigate repetitive tasks, artists like 6lack and Sonder provide the perfect sense of flow to improve my workflow. 

7:00 AM

Eat breakfast. Shower and drop the kids to school.

8:00 AM - 8:30 AM

I’m at my desk. I review my schedule and set my intentions for the day before diving into my daily tasks.
